Teaching at a distance.
For the first time in a long time, something I wrote is in print!
The transition to teaching 5th graders remotely during a pandemic has been… wild. Like nothing I ever thought I’d be doing in my life. The SF Chronicle asked me a write a little day in the life diary about the transition, and it ran in the Sunday Culture section yesterday. The online version is here, if you’d like to take a peek. There are also photos documenting the embarrassing faces I make while teaching math over Zoom, the only day of quarantine I wore jeans, and the back of Sean’s head as he tries to run away from the socially distanced photographer.
P.S. Yes, that is obviously a Jenny Lemons avocado shirt.
